Well, this is interesting! One of my longstanding beefs with Windows is that Microsoft decides when to install updates and reboot my machine. Head of Window, Pavan Davuluri, has promised that you’ll be able to pause updates for “as long as you need.” Don’t get me wrong, I am an avid updater — I believe that updates are necessary — but I want to do it on my schedule and not wake up to a freshly rebooted Windows every so often. This is supposedly part of a larger initiative to listen to user feedbasck (what a concept!).

The Genesis of ZeroCadence

Back in 2003 I started a blog that was intended to be a collection of short posts. Mostly for me but ideally useful to others, it was a collection of short posts highlighting or discussing a single topic. This newsletter is the evolution of that concept — short posts highlighting what I consider to be interesting and worthwhile tech news items.

This newsletter will always be free but if you like it and you want to show your appreciation, you can buy me a coffee for as little as $1, the suggested $3. or any amount you think appropriate.
